A Dallas native, I made my way to Central Texas when posted to Fort Hood in the Army. I attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and spent five years in the Field Artillery branch (mostly rocket launchers). I deployed for ten months to Afghanistan in 2011-12 where I worked on a training team – specifically helping the Afghan officers run their basic training. While there, I tried my hand as a teacher, teaching some English to Afghan soldiers in my spare time.
Family and Fun
My wife, Helen, is from London. We met when both on vacation in Mexico, less than two months before I deployed to Afghanistan. We were married in Dallas after she had uprooted her London life as for a new start in the Texas Hill Country. We have since had two happy and beautiful daughters, Heather Lily and Matilda May.
As for hobbies – Texas is a cold, cold place any time the Cowboys and Rangers aren’t whipping up on their opponents. I love the history of the War Between the States. And my wife and I spend time relaxing, keeping up with our favorite TV shows on Netflix and the DVR.
I entered real estate when leaving the Army. My mom is a real estate agent, and I just enjoy homes, property and land too much to be doing anything different. It is my passion. I am blessed to be making a living doing something I love. I am passionate about continuing to learn more about the real estate industry, the local market, and our community.
I’ve owned three homes in the Killeen area. The first was in White Rock Estates, which I rented out when I was deployed. I then bought and lived in a fourplex on Killeen’s south-west side, and we now live in an All Star home in Trimmier Estates.

I am a New York City native that decided to give up the fast-paced, noisy, city life for a something a little quieter and spread out. I have a Jackie-of-all-trades work background. My career began as a Jr. Loan Officer making hundreds of calls a day, sharing information with people about refinancing their home mortgage. As the market began to crash, I decided that I needed a change. For next few years, I was soul searching, moving, and working in different industries. I picked up amazing customer service skills and learned that I enjoy being behind the scenes.
After buying a home, which just so happened to be listed by Brian, Fate would have it that a year later I would be working with him and the Hood Homes Blog. Prior to working with Brian, I worked at a Mental and Behavioral Hospital. Boy, was that a dose of reality! I spent time with Soldiers who are battling disorders like PTSD, substance abuse and Service related injuries or trauma. After that I moved along to the children’s wing, hoping for a little less feeling in my workload. Instead, I got a Texas-sized taste of chaos. Once I realized I couldn’t be Wonder Woman and save the world I knew it was time to get back to what I enjoy. Queue Brian.
