Be sure to ask any lender about the “Tex Vet” Program. Used in conjunction with the VA Loan, it offers it’s own, competitive rates, and a 0.5% rate drop for veterans with at least 30% VA disability, meaning a tremendous discount to your rate, saving you potentially $10s or $100s a month on your mortgage.
