Long Branch Park
1101 Branch Dr.
Killeen, TX  76543

Long Branch Park is by far the largest and most diverse Killeen Park, and easily the best park on the north side of town, north of Highway 190 (Lion’s Club Park is the best park south of Highway 190).  The park is named after the Long Branch creek that winds through the center of the park.  It is located just to the north side of Rancier Ave.

The park does not have as many trees as some parks, but makes up for it with a large shaded pavilion, pools and splash pad in the summer!

It features several playgrounds, including some for kids of slightly more advanced but still playground age.

It has sprawling and open acreage, and there were several kids’ football practices going on when we visited late one August afternoon.

The park includes an outdoor skating rink and baseball fields.

The park is within walking distance of the Lake, Copperfield, and Leon Heights neighborhoods, as well as Summerlyn Apartments, Remington Apartments, and Country Place Apartments.
