The Taiwan Dragon is a very popular and accommodating family owned local destination for Amy Hail and Farewells. The pictures on the Wall include a Who’s Who of Army leaders during America’s War on Terror, including Generals Ray Odierno, David Petraeus and Eric Shinseki.
The restaurant has a cameo in the TLC show “My 600 lb. Life”, episode 4 of season 1 (go to 4:53) (I don’t think the Taiwan Dragon is particularly fattening, by the way). In the video, you can see the walls and walls of Army photos. The show even includes the eager restaurant owner taking a picture of the reality show family, and presumably their picture is somewhere hanging now in the restaurant.
I’ve been to the restaurant for a Hail and Farewell with the 41st Fires Brigade, and my pregnant wife sent me there in the snow for take-out when she was craving egg rolls.
